Kate Pereira
Kate completed her Bachelor of Psychology (honours) and Clinical Masters at Curtin University. She has experience working with clients across the lifespan in multiple settings including schools, the disability sector and private practice.
Kate is warm, friendly and bubbly. She places high importance on building strong relationships with clients, in order to establish trust to bring about effective change.
Kate has a deep understanding of the many challenges children and adolescents face. She works from a client centred approach, delivering evidenced based interventions such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Play Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).
Kate has extensive experience working with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families during her employment in the disability sector, and her current role as school psychologist. Her assessment and identification skills are a unique strength.
Outside of work, Kate enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 beautiful children, boxing sessions, running and outdoor activities.
