Liz Alexander
Liz is a Registered Psychologist with extensive experience working with children (and their families) experiencing challenges across learning, emotional, relational and behavioural domains. She completed her Bachelor of Psychology at Curtin University in 2009 and then went on to complete a Graduate Diploma in Education (School Psychology) in 2010. She currently works part-time as a Senior School Psychologist for the Department of Education WA, a position she’s held for 8 years.
Liz has worked across a variety of settings including schools and private practice where she has conducted psychological assessments and provided counselling to children and adolescents from Kindergarten to Year 12. She has also worked collaboratively with parents wanting practical and evidence-based strategies to raise happy, resilient kids.
Utilising a strength-based approach, Liz is empathetic and passionate about helping young people reach their potential. In her work she wants to empower individuals to better understand themselves and equip them with the skills to cope with life’s many challenges.
Outside of work, Liz enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She is a loving Mum to her two young children. She loves reading, jigsaw puzzles and crosswords, when she can squeeze them in!
