Louise Mansell
Dr Louise Mansell received her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from The University of Manchester, UK, in 2010. After a period of work for the UK National Health Service, she co-founded a not for profit social enterprise- Beyond Psychology. She has received registration as a Clinical Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
Louise works with children, adolescents and their families, to support their mental health through individual sessions, group work, and work via schools and colleges. She has particular experience in anxiety, attachment and trauma informed therapy..
Her work is informed by neuroscience and evidence-based approaches; including Theraplay, compassionate mind approaches, DDP and cognitive behavioural therapy. She delivers a number of established protocols including Timid to Tiger, a group for parents of anxious children; 4Ds for Dealing with Distress, a brief online stress management session for workplaces and organisations, and has Co- developed and ACE (adverse childhood experiences) trauma informed schools and organisational pathway, alongside recent publication of a Children’s book Brian the Brain, helping young people understand the science of emotions.
